About Jade McCarthy
Experience grounded in practice
I have worked across adult and children's services, supporting individuals with a wide range of care and support needs.
I have extensive experience supporting children and young people affected by trauma, attachment difficulties, emotional dysregulation, complex behaviours, exploitation, abuse, neglect, loss and rejection. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, therapeutic practice, strong safeguarding and the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued and understood.

Why I created From the Heart
I noticed a gap between the essential compliance training staff receive and the deeper understanding they need about the lasting impact of relationships. Every conversation, boundary, act of kindness and moment of support can help a child heal or reinforce trauma.
I created From the Heart to bridge the gap between compliance and connection. The programme encourages professionals to look beyond behaviour, understand the story behind a child's presentation and recognise the responsibility of becoming a trusted adult.
How I believe it will help
The programme helps staff connect knowledge to everyday practice, strengthen relational and trauma-informed care, and become more thoughtful about the impact of words, actions and relationships.
